Car is going to the Dyno this Saturday....

Posted By: ThumperNC24 On: 11-03-2009 @ 18:48:33         Reply | Edit
What does everyone think?

I don't have exact cam specs, but it is

230/232 .595"/ (either .595 or 585) on a 114 LSA

other mods listed in sig. Stock 853 heads

Dyno is 'Land and Sea' supposed to be similar to dynojet type.

I am hoping for at least 370rwhp. I know heads would really wake her up, but those probably aren't in the works until after I graduate. I am hoping to put Stage 2.5 LS6 heads on eventually and hopefully ~400whp with those.

Then she is going home and being put away for the cold time.

I would like to throw on some strano sway bars this winter, but we will see if that works out.

Edit: RESULTS ARE IN!

412 rwhp / 418 rwtq SAE - Needless to say I was PUMPED

yeah

I DD the car ~7 months a year. I bought the car to drive it, so drive it I do!

I have put almost 7k on it since I bought it last January. And she has seen like 500 miles since I brought her to school in mid august, so I was driving it quite a bit prior to that. Don't drive much at school and pretty much all trips are <3 (less than three, not love you fags) miles

I wish I could put her in a garage here and wash her more often, but school def gets in the way.

Sarav, how hard is it to follow Nietzsche? I read Machiavelli's The Prince earlier this year, and the only thing that was clear was to not trust mercenary infantry while fighting on the peninsula.

if i was over 400rwhp i would be shocked - but that would be awesome.

I think the car should do ~380 since the previous owner said he did 374 with stock exhaust on the car. Time to find out if what he said was true.

yeah, pretty sure.

The dyno may be slightly high, but everything varies dyno to dyno. A viper (not the newest, but the next to newest gen) with a couple bolt ons put down 460.

I don't think it is that far off.

Great numbers, do you have a WB installed? Just food for thought if you don't, you may want to. My black Vette read 12.8 AFR on the dyno and 14.ish WOT on the street. I confirmed this via HP Tuners and a wideband set up. Needless to say I re-tuned my car on the street.

What ever you decide, nice numbers!

Posted By: ThumperNC24 On: 11-08-2009 @ 14:29:02     Reply | Top | Edit
I don't have a wideband - I might want to get one though.

I don't really know jack about tuning though.

Car did come with HP tuners and the cable - I should probably start using it.

If you start using HP Tuners, you'll love it. My Z-06 only has long tubes, CAI, cat back and bellows. I'm going to give it a nice street tune. I'm in Ohio so I may have to wait til spring. We're lucky today, its in the 60's

damn, with my inability to get my tuner, i might have to do hptuners as well with a wideband.

Where is the best place to buy it? What type of computing power is required?
--

Posted By: Mpaolino On: 11-08-2009 @ 16:34:30     Reply | Top | Edit
I don't know the min. requirements for the lap top but check out hptuners.com they have forums too. People upload tunes to compare. Can't go wrong if you own an LS-1. You can control everything. I had my lap top in my Vette at the track. This guy drinking a Busch said, God Damn boy that things fast! Whatcha got a puter in there fer?

Sorry for hijack. OP still has great numbers!
