In a world of all digital music, mp3 players, ipods and downloads, does anyone else still buy cd's?

I went in Best Buy today and bought a few cd's while I was looking at new cameras and the girl behind the register said I was the first person she seen to buy a disc since she started working there 4 months ago.

I still buy cds and then load them onto my computer. I don't like the idea of downloading all your music...I still like to have a "hard copy".

I purchased the new Alice In Chains CD yesterday.
Every now and then I buy a disc that needs to be in my collection.

I haven't bought a CD in over 3 years. Last one I bought was 10,000 Fists from Disturbed.

If it's a band I follow I'll buy the disc to complete the collection. Otherwise I'll D/L the album of Amazon for half the price. It's just loaded into my phone and/or iPod anyway.

How is that AIC album. I heard Check My Brain on the radio and it sounded decent, but for some reason it was terrible when I watched the video.

The last 2 cd's I have bought were the last 2 Metallica cd's if that tells you how often I buy cd's.

i have not bought a cd in about 6-7 years. download about 5-10 albums a month.
