I just can't win with this damn 6-spd swap

Posted By: 4Birdman On: 09-21-2009 @ 08:56:37         Reply | Edit
I guess taking my time and working on it a bit at a time is really killing me here.

I got it all finished up yesterday and realized my Optima redtop was stone dead, won't hold a charge. FUCK.

Then I bleed the clutch and realize my pedal is 3" lower than where it should be. Run to the computer only to find out the asshole that sold them to me sold me LT1 pedals and not LS1 pedals. FUCK.

All I have left is to find some damn LS1 6-spd pedals and I'll be good to go. But dammit this pisses me off.

Anyone have any LS1 6-spd pedals?

Yeah, that's what the guy at the store just told me. I'm going to try charging it again.

My dad just let me borrow his, it is a 10A one. We'll see if it works. From talking to the Optima people I need to charge it with a 10A for like a day.

I bought one of the ctek chargers. pretty fancy, it has a supply mode, reconditioning mode etc. I can plug it in and leave it for up to 6 months.

I can't remember what his is, but I once revived a battery that sat dead for like a year and a half. Matter of fact, I just pulled that battery out of the truck at lunch to take home and use in case the Optima doesn't work. It is the Wal-mart battery that just won't die.
