I hate that that guy shouted that at Obama. While he was right, he really makes those of us with common sense about the whole ordeal look like idiots.

I hope this crap gets shut down, Obama's health care plan will sink us.

Yea I agree, the guy acted like an Idiot, sorry to say that is common place in Bahamian Politics, and contributes nothing, except to reinforce the attitude that being an outspoken ass in the way to be, sad.

I don't understand why this is being blown up. This has happened to EVERY president atleast in recent history back to Regan. Just because this is Obama, he was out of line. This is nothing new at these kinds of speeches.

what's there not to understand. There will be additional public options for government health care. Nothing in the bill is changing or mandating change for your private health care that you should have already from your job.

EDIT: you dont even have to read the whole thing..just do a little research. You will see how much you will be charged if you elect to NOT take the gov't option. There is an entire section in the bill that says that no new private policies can be issued and that existing private policies are grandfathered in so your only choice for new coverage is gov't. Your employer will be charged up to 8% per employee who doesn't take the gov't "option"...the list goes on and on. I posted about 30 scary things like this in another thread here.

This is from another post of mine.

Obama has not read the bill and I'd be willing to bet that most of the people voting for it or liking it have not read it either.

Obama and Axlerod did a blogging/conference call where they were open to questions from liberal bloggers. One guy asked about the section that basically says that no new private policies can be written after this new health care stuff is in place.

Obama said "'You know, I have to say, that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."

This means he has not even read to PAGE SIXTEEN! Basically if you have private insurance, you are grandfathered in, but if you want private insurance after this bill passes, you can't get it. Read page 16, section 102. This health bill is REALLY scary.

Page 167 talks about the tax penalty you get if your employer decides not to go with obama-care...which can be as high as 8%

Employer responsibilities. [Sections 411 and 412] Employers have two choices. One is to make an election to provide coverage for their employees according to the standards set up under AAHCA. Their election to provide acceptable health care is audited by the Treasury Secretary and Health Care Commissioner, and lapses in coverage are subject to a tax of $100 per day of non-coverage per employee not covered.

Pages 881 & 882...eligibility for grants (for training) preference shall be given to minorities.

Pg 882 - Preferences

(2) Training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds.

I haven't verified each one of these, but most I have.

Pg 22 of the HC Bill MANDATES the Govt will audit books of ALL EMPLOYERS that self insure!!

Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill - THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get

Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill - YOUR HEALTHCARE IS RATIONED!!!

Pg 42 of HC Bill - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you. You have no choice!

PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill - HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise

Pg 58HC Bill - Govt will have real-time access 2 individs finances & a National ID Healthcard will be issued!

Pg 59 HC Bill lines 21-24 Govt will have direct access to you banks accountsts for electronic funds transfer

PG 65 Sec 164 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions & community orgs (ACORN).

Pg 72 Lines 8-14 Govt is creating an HC Exchange to bring private HC plans under Govt control.

PG 84 Sec 203 HC bill - Govt mandates ALL benefit packages for private health care plans in the Exchange

PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill - Specs for of Benefit Levels for Plans = The Govt will ration your Healthcare!

PG 91 Lines 4-7 HC Bill - Govt mandates linguistic appropropriate services. Example - Translationfor illegal aliens

Pg 95 HC Bill Lines 8-18 The Govt will use groups i.e., ACORN & Americorps to sign up individuals for Govt HC plan

PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill - Specs of Benefit Levels for Plans. #AARP members - your Health care WILL be rationed

PG 102 Lines 12-18 HC Bill - Medicaid Eligible Individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No choice

pg 124 lines 24-25 HC No company can sue GOVT on price fixing. No "judicial review" against Govt Monopoly

pg 127 Lines 1-16 HC Bill - Doctors/ #AMA - The Govt will tell YOU what you can make.

Pg 145 Line 15-17 An Employer MUST automatiocally enroll employees into pubic option plan. NO CHOICE

that video is 3 minutes of Obama promising that you can keep your CURRENT health plan..nobody is debating that. Its that you can't get a new private policy if his plan passes.

Identify the problem, then fix it.

Don't keep picking at it like a big nasty scab that you hope will get better but you just keep making it worse.
