More work done on my bro's 89 Formula

Posted By: 4Birdman On: 08-06-2009 @ 08:11:02         Reply | Edit
Getting close to being ready for paint!

Went over and helped him with the car last night. Got the door hung and aligned and set the new fender on the car. Still need to align the fender, but it was dark and we couldn't see what we were doing at that point.

We also yanked the wheels and painted them satin black. Replaced the centercaps with black ones off the 92 and painted the lug caps back to silver. Looks really cool.

I'm going to align the fender and get it all bolted back up soon. Then all we need is a new spoiler and we're ready for paint!

If anyone knows of a good 91-92 TA spoiler or an LT1 TA high rise spoiler, please let me know!

Also need a driver's side TA grid-style taillight. Bennie hooked my bro up with a passenger side and center section, but we need a driver's side one.

Pics to come, it was too dark to get any good pictures last night.

Well, we may have done one better!

I made an offer on a 91 Formula today. The guy said he has one guy who called him first, but if he passes it up it is ours. Needs a transmission, but we have one in the shop we can use.

We'll see!

My answer to that depends on Chris' answer to who gets to build the 0411 harness for his IROC this fall

Here are the latest pics of the 89. He's driving this one while we fix the 91. Then he's going to decide which one he wants and I'm going to take the other one. 8)

As you can see, we put a new door and fender on it and also painted the wheels black. We also fixed the headlight motor.

I did, but it was local pickup only.

I like both styles, which is why I'm glad we have both styles now! 91 and 89!
