We actually met when she was around 4 and i was 6, then i saw her again when she was 16 and i was 18. I asked my mom "WHO is that???" "Thats Emerald, you know her" literally i went "woah" My mom knew right then i would marry her, she's never seen me react to a girl like that before. Of course long black curly hair, with a bright red tight dress didn't hurt things. I will never forget her that day. I loved her right then. Took us 2 years for everything to work out though, she lived 5 hours away and had a bf, and i wasn't ready for her yet. 2 years later my cousin told me to call her, long story short, 5 years from then and we're expecting our first and still very much in love. A buddy told me to come along since I was recently single...he failed to tell me that it was highschool girls though. I met Andy in Albuquerque through a university bulletin board, he put a post up looking to share a ride to Pennsylvania and I was looking to move back to Jersey. I was renting a truck and he was going to help drive it. My funds fell through, he got to go "home" for Christmas and I didn't. Good thing 'cause when he came back we became best friends. Amen, brother. I know exactly where your at. I've never had luck with the ladies. But this last 8 to 10 months has been especially hard. Tonight marked the 3rd one since last September that I've been taking to, hanging out with, and really thought there was some potential in, who has basically pushed me to the side in favor of one of my close friends. I want to be happy for my friends, but at the same time it's so depressing. I've been single now, not even so much as a date, for over 10 years. I just keep thinking, "WTF is wrong with me?" and "When will it be my turn?" --

I really don't care for getting laid once or twice and that being it, not my thing. If I like someone, I want something more than just that out of it, and if I don't, why bother with them at all in the first place? If I do get with someone I like but it never ends up more than that, I just get annoyed in the long run, which isn't worth the one night of feeling good. The most recent always seems to never be feeling well whenever we have specific plans for just the two of us. It's like four times now. I knew she had some health problems going in, but either it's all been a rough coincidence or she's bullshitting me. She's usually receptive when we're both out with the same group of friends (like last week, we ended up dancing for a couple hours when we were all out at a club,) but I'm not going to make a serious move when everyone else is around (especially that night since one of my buddies drove,) and every time I try to organize some time for just the two of us, there's an excuse. I totally just shit all over the positive vibes of this topic, but trying to get someone just pisses me off in the end.
