Transformers 2

Posted By: Tyrel On: 06-25-2009 @ 00:42:38         Reply | Edit
Saw it tonight... typical michael bay, i really hope they get a new director for the third, but they'll make a gazillion bucks on this one, so why change?

6/10

good action, the C7 concept looks pretty cool too.

i saw it last night and it wasnt to bad but i think the first was better. i think the second one had too much humor and yet being so long didnt really explain alot of things (or i didnt catch the explaniations).

like him being in a cast I know it was from an accident off set but in the movie there is no reasoning for it just bam he is in a cast. there were quite a few good scenes

not a bad movie thought 6.5 or 7 out of 10

meh.

It was another movie that had a lot of potential if it was in the hands of a competent production team. Michael Bay shouldn't be allowed near a camera. Ever. Not even to film a wedding. Throw the DP in there as well. The camera work was horrible.

They also needed to make up their minds. Are they making a movie for kids or adults? Kids will be entertained no matter what because there are giant robots on the screen. The comedy relief could have been a little less infantile. An "old" robot that transforms with a beard and cane? 2 jive-talking robots with gold teeth? A robot that humps a girls leg like a dog?

None of this would have been a big deal if the story was solid. The plot and premise was weak... just a thrown together excuse to pump out a $$$ making sequel. It's a shame too since the visuals are incredible.

Sounds like the same thing as the first.

It's like the first two X-men movies compared to the third. The first two expanded on the comics, had good character depth, and didn't focus on flash, but the story. The third was all action but with no real substance...and that's what the Transformers movies have been.

All action no substance is fine when it's a Vin Diesel or John Cena movie, because that's what you expect going in.

A little disappointed. Fox was hawt, but I agree that the movie seemed to long an drawn out. It as too much action & violence just for the sake of violence, lacking the plot to warrant it.

C7 looked meah, but the bb camaro looked beautiful!

The plot made sense to me but alot of the younger crowd today are not gonna get the plot about the autobot matrix of leadership. Remember in the original movie (1986 cartoon movie in theaters) Hot Rod turned into Rodimus Prime after he had the autubot matrix of leadership. This could explain why Optimus Prime has been looking so weak lately in these movies.

Agreed on the kid thing, I'm usually not one of those super conservative people but some of the jokes would make kids ask questions, and thats not what you want out of kid related movie. Like the mother yelling about the kid getting his cherry popped.....no good.

I remarked to the GF that it would be an awesome movie if it was rated R. They could've gotten away with a lot more....like Fox naked....or something like that. Heh.
