What motor for my S-10 Blazer project Posted By: 4Birdman On: 06-23-2009 @ 14:23:24 Reply | Edit Well, since I'm losing my indoor storage when my grandfather sells his cabin, it is time to finally rebuild this thing. It was my first car, so it is time to do the things I've always wanted to to it. I'm definitely putting a SBC V8 in it, but I'm wondering what to put in it. 350 is the most obvious, but also the most common. A 383 would be cool, but might be too expensive to get one. 327 or 302 would be cool as well, but harder to find. An LS motor would be cool too, but again the cost. What do you guys think? --

Or a 4.8 ls that you build with revs in mind. This won't be your fast vehicle, so do something cool. I'm going to grab it. Maybe I'll do a 383 since I have a buddy who runs a machine shop and I'm not dropping much on the engine.  --

I'm really just keeping those as spares for my truck. --

Picked up some parts for my Blazer today. Got a passenger's front fender, air dam, rear bumper, and black grille. Picking up a 350 for it next week. Not sure when I'll bringing it back home, but we'll see. --
