DIMMED DIGITAL DASH HELP?

Hi All!
I have an '87 Trans Am GTA with the digital dash and the odometer display has dimmed right down. All other displays are working fine (the tach, the speedo, the gauges and the control center) but the odometer display is not. I can see it but it is very dim... is this an easy fix?? (Like maybe replacing a light bulb...)
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

My friend Bethany has the first digi dash Ive ever messed with. While working on it we blew the courtesy lights fuse which killed her speedo and odometer
Since yours works, its just dim Id say some fuse or bad ground is not the culprit
Likely one of the illuminating lights/LEDs burned out (it happens) and needs to be replaced
Im unsure which a digi dash uses as we never dug that far into it, but normal dashes use lights which are simple to replace. LEDs will require soldering if you can even open up the panel

Hi All!
Just wanted to update on this one...
It seems that the digital dash is backlit by normal bulbs - I took the chance and was prepared to replace the complete cluster if I screwed something up, started taking it apart, and lo and belold!!!
I found a burned out light bulb in behind the display.
Maybe it's a special bulb, but I went to Canadian Tire and purchased this bulb for like $10.00 or so, replaced it, put everything back together, and everything works fine now!!
Thanks for your help!!

Odd, cluster bulbs use the same bulb as turn signals which come 2 for 90some cents in part stores

Thanks Pocket!
on the other hand... $10.00 bucks is way better than replacing the entire dash which is what i thought i would have to do...

Just a side note:
when i took the bulb out, it looked kind of odd in the way that it had 2 prongs sticking out of it - a miniature halogen bulb...
i think this is why it was like $10.00 bucks...

Hi Pocket!
I don't have a pic, but I still have the original receipt from Canadian Tire (Why I kept it is a mystery...)
The bulb is an 891 bulb...
For some reason, I am not able to pull this up on the Canadian Tire website, but it was purchased back on August 23, 2009.
Thanks!!
