Does this really works?

Hello, I have a Formula with a 350 and LT1 intake, among other things. However, I made my own CAI with a flexible corrugated tube and a cone filter. I think it works but I think it is pulling too hot air in. Besides it's not the best looking. I saw this on ebay and it definitely looks better than mine, plus it pulls colder air. Any opinions? Thanks

SLP's used a T shaped intake ducting with filters on either end. That looks like a factory setup with a custom box sucking air from the fender
Dont expect too much

But there's a picture from SLP(I believe) in there with only one box. I'm confused now...
I found these in Hawksthirdgen but the three of them have only one box:

Two of them are discontinued and the one still for sale is $300!!

I don't want to know how much is that one sold for. If the single one is $300 that's got to be expensive. :/ -- 1990 Formula 350
