I got the upgraded K&N filter from this site and i was going to built my own box but that hasnt really worked out to well. And they want for the flexible hose to connect the MAS to the air box, the Air box itself plus shipping like 270 bucks! and i mean it looks good but is there even that much of a gain that its worth almost 300 bones? and is there an alternative site somewhere for a hell of a lot less? --

Macgyver that bitch!
Seriously, I think that SLP made a CAI that worked the same way a K&N CAI did on the LT1 4th Gens. the Piping came out of the throttle body and turned 90 degrees and went over and into the fender. I can't remember exactly how it was setup.
You wouldn't notice the difference between the two, but you'd have the cool factor with the functional hood setup though.
