Electric fuel pump question Posted By: antielvis On: 04-24-2009 @ 02:22:00 Reply | Edit I'm getting ready to do a fuel pump replacement on my IROC, but trying to make sure I'm doing the right thing before I get started. When I try starting the car, I can't even hear the pump prime itself up anymore, just the relay click after a couple of seconds. I checked the voltage at the pump relay and am getting 12 volts out. However, when I check voltage at the connector by the tank, I'm only reading about 8 volts. Is this due to the ecm or something reducing voltage or could this be causing my pump not to function? Pull tank and test/replace pump. --

Loss of voltage sounds like a short or a bad reading
