Question on Instrument Cluster

I've tried to replace my instrument cluster and I'm having issues now...
Note: This is not to adjust mileage, I have that part covered so please don't hijack the thread.
I bought the car about 3 months ago and the tripometer was broken and I heard it could be troublesome or expensive to replace the gear. I found a used cluster for 20 bucks and decided that would be the easiest approach. However, the cluster didn't reset when put into the car. For example, the rpm gauge, temp guage, fuel gauge etc are all off now. I pushed the rpm guage back to zero and it seems fine..
Isn't there a reset somehow for the cluster? I let it sit for about an hour or two with the negative terminal disconnected trying to reset the thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- 1994 Firebird Formula, 383 Stroker, Cooper Zeons,

What vehicle is this? The 94 Formula? You might have got a dead cluster. Put in your old one and see if the stuff works again. I don't think there's a reset. It just picks up the voltage and moves the gauges. Also you might want to try in the LT1 forum if it is the 94.
