I was able to run 14.56 with a .455 reaction time. Only tried to run twice that was the best but it still sucked cause of the reaction time. 1991 350 TPI

Reaction time has nothing to do with e.t. You could check the ignition timing to see if it goes to 36-38 degrees total. What was the 60' time for the run?

My best run in my Z28 was:

Reaction: .157
I1: 2.506
I2: 6.494
I3: 9.722
MPH: 76.418

ET: 14.835
MPH: 96.396

M.O.V 1.525 (whatever that is.)

I had fun. The first run sucked SRT 4 beat me.
My Reaction time was .845 with a 18.372 @ 55.817.

Not the low 14's I was looking for, but if I had taken out my speaker box and amp and lose about 100 pounds I should do a little better. I could use some better tires as well. I either spun like crazy or had to take off just about from idle. Coming off Idle gave me my best time.

I've only been once though, I want to go back but my clutch is slipping. I got on it one day and hit 3rd. My engine was revving but I wasn't spinning. When I let out of it, I smelled the clutch.

Better than my first ever run. 17.4 @ 82mph lmfao.

I had a .962 RT, I spun off the line giving me like a 3.2 second 60', and my timing was set @ 16 degree's ADV base (which was so bad my car stalled 4 times on me when I stopped to pickup my timeslip on the way back). So I am hoping to do a little better next time lmao.

r/t is the reaction time, and the best possible is likely a .500. Everything else, other than mph, is the time from when your tires left the starting line to the time it took your car to travel whatever the distance is. I'd say there's probably another 2-3 tenths to be gained from a perfect launch to make your 2.22 numbers into 2.0-1.9. The slower mph with the faster time is pretty normal, usually it means u got a better start that left less time to build up the mph.

things you want to consider is traction. traction is key. you could put a 500 shot of nitrous on it, and when you hit the button, your gunna eat the wall.

do not "roll" off the line, you need to launch the fastest possible without spinning your tire(s).

tires, LCA's, springs, drag shocks/struts all things that'll help with weight transfer and stick.

There is no general rule for launching. That depends on what car you are driving. Powerband, tires, etc. Looks like your 60' times could be better. Try heating up your tires(dry) before you stage. Try stomping on it first. If it spins too much then try a less aggresive launch for your next pass. You have to race your car a little so you get to know your car and how to properly race it. Good tires would be the best thing.
