ok, you all know i have a 87 trans am. i know all the camaros (82-92) ran the same center console without the radio pod. AND the early birds (up to 85 i think) ran that console as well. now i want to switch my car to a 5spd but not put in the older/camaro style console. i've never even seen a picture of a 5spd console plate for my car. its the one with the grid on it. hawksthirdgen has a listing for a used one, but never have one in stock. looks like this, but not auto  --

none. ive had the tranny sitting in the shed for a year. still gotta get a clutch, flywheel, short throw, and get the pedal assembly off my 84. --

i've been thinking of grabbing one off ebay for cheap money and trying that. if i liked it, i'd use it. i dont hate the look of the gear map, BUT i've been pondering for 6 months how to get one and had no luck --
