Transmission

I have a 700r4 outta a 87 Caprice. Is that going to be the same transmission as the 700r4 outta my 91 GTA? I know that the tail shaft cover is different but everything else looks identical.

I'm gonna say the differences are: maybe the speedometer gears or magnetic pickup could be different, the dipstick tube, the tailshaft for the tq arm, and the governor to give max rpm before shift.

Thanks. Yeah I started to do a little more research and it seems to me that the transmissions internals are all the same, so it is just some bolt on items that need to be changed.
Does anyone know if there is a low stall converter maybe 1000 rpm or so I just hate that the car jumps when coming to a stop and it is below 1000. Thanks again.
