Code 54 Posted By: bscivolette On: 01-04-2008 @ 13:48:12 Reply | Edit Good Afternoon Everyone, My Camaro has given me code 54 and as many of you know there are several possible causes for the code. I was hoping someone could narrow down the list based on the possibles? The possibles are: - Low fuel pump voltage - Fuel pump relay - EGR Solenoid Failure #2 - Quad driver module output failure - Mixture control (M/C) solenoid voltage too high I should point out that this is a V6 but she is in excellent shape. This is my first check engine code for this Camaro. The symptoms: Recently on start up for the first 5-6 seconds the RPM's jump between 500-2000, back and forth. After a few seconds returns to normal operation While driving the car is perfect, nothing is affected while in drive She did stall at one red light when the RPMs dipped, we were idling for 45 seconds when this happened Sometimes the start up is okay, I would say 70% of the time the RMPs jump while 30% no problem. There are no other issues or symptoms. Any ideas?
