ok im relatively new here ive looked at the forums alot but just joined recently. i got a 88 camaro with a 5.0 tbi automatic. i got it for 500 bucks i found it in a hannafords parking lot. it sat there for two years before i got to it. its currently got 160k on it still runs smooth no ticking or knocking etc.. so far ive done a tune up on it new brakes and a flowmaster catback system. so now i got it running consistantly so its time for more go fast goodies. i was thinkin shift kits. i want to go with the grabbiest one out there. really tired of the soft and late shifts from my 700r4. any suggestions on which one to get u got b&m, trans go, ang tci. wut do yuo guys have and which is the best one. not worrying about losing comfort of the drive. i want balls to the walls. like to get it to chirp second.

to chirp second, your going to need more than just a shift kit. i have a 700R4 in a 1800lb street rod that bakes second. it has the B&M shift kit, but also has a JET servo. car also pushes over 450hp, so that may have something to do with it --

also still like to kno what you guys think is the best shift kit. i kno i want one that has the manual upshifts and downshifts at any rpm. transgo looks promising although it is the most expensive. also i think it was lead foot that was talkin about ur posi rear how the spider gears are welded together. is that bad to do. i want posi but im just turned 18 and dont got alot of money. also the shift kit could be a do it yourself type deal right??? i hope.

A power servo and a good band will make your car chirp second gear. That along with a shift kit will make a huge difference. There are a lot of mods that can be made to the 700R4. Take a look at my mods for an idea. My mods make my transmission very stout without being annoying for a daily driver. My car chirps second and third. --
