I went looking for some misc. parts yesterday for the Trans Am. Lo and behold, jackpot! It tooks a lot of looking and there arn't many 3rdgens laying around that havn't been crushed. but from about seven cars i managed to find
1. Shifter boot
2. Fog lamp (entire housing)
3. Both front speaker covers
4. Red coat hooks for the back sail panels
5. power window switch
6. Those front dash little vent covers
All For $15.00
Yes! that would have been like $50 on ebay!
Anyone else love these places or found any great deals in them? --

I needed a new upper radiator mount for a swap to an electric fan and got it dirt cheap. I needed some of the cone shaped plastic covers that go over the top of the strut mounts under the hood and they just gave them to me!
I too LOVE junkyards...long may they live!

you all suck. i'm moving out yous guys ways to go to junk yards. around here everything is a Vsucks with all the interchangable parts, or the parts that always brake either gone or broken. everything around here has been picked through. now what we do is buy $500 scrappers and pick through the car and junk it. --

I priced out a fog lamp for mine at GM, and it was like 300 bucks. --

Junkyards are my best friend. ive gotten glass t tops ($100), fender ($25) headlight assembly ($60), ashtray, cig lighter, misc. bolts, DS ground FX ($25) and im sure theres more
Unfortunatly, 3rd gen cars are worth more in scrap now then as parts cars, so they are getting crushed at an unbeleivable rate. I am doing my part to keep third gens alive and on the road daily! --
