How can you tell?

How can you tell if the piston is forged or cast or what ? Any clues

Cause im looking for a .30 over 305 piston that is forged but I dont know if these are or not.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250130224894&rd=1,1

And why do these look like they do? Are they not a flattop piston? any imput would be great.

You have to flip the piston over to see if its cast or not

I cant say for sure by the pics but they look cast

You have some time left, send him a msg

Read the auction, it says right in the description that they are cast.
You are looking at a NEW set of 8 Chev 305 .030 pistons and are NEW in the box. These would be great for that 305 SBC rebuild.Cast pistons.NO Reserve !! Please look at my other auctions!

They look like they were in a sand mold or w/e, not forge pressed.
