I know that's a gay way of putting it but I know someone know's what i'm talking about. The black ''fin's'' that people would put on the back hatch?

Louvers are the proper name. Just ask at any auto parts store and they should be able to special order them. Or search for Louver's on google / ebay / whatever.

the ones you posted as bad, are actually the better looking set for the 3rd gens... the only thing is that they shouldn't be painted to match the car

They look too bulky in my opinion. I dunno, I vote leave them off third gens period.

I'm considering them to keep down the fade on the interior and the damage done to the plastic panels. The sunlight really does a number on these items over time. I don't think they look bad at all, but must admit that I prefer the car without them.

The ones he listed as "bad" are the sought after kind. 3 piece aluminum for the early ones and later 3 piece alum with platic sides
Factory option and discontinued aftermarket (cragar I think)
Multiple variants for the early rear wiper, 86 and 91-92 upper brake light

"Good" is modern cheap reproductions, check jegs summit ebay. They are plastic, I have heard mostly bad reviews for them, and they are ugly
Plus if you have an upper 3rd brake light or a rear wiper you are SOL

They look better on dark colored cars flat black and on clean black cars they look better glossy black

i had them on my car when i bought it from the lady who owned it before me; but i sold them to a guy on this board about 2 years ago; they were an option she ordered when she bought the car; try to find someone with a car who has/had them, and buy those
