PushRod Length / Size on LO3 ??

Posted By: mjsmikey On: 01-01-2008 @ 00:54:08         Reply | Edit
I am doing some upgrades to my LO3 Motor 1989. I am upgrading to a better flowing head. In process I would like to change all pushrods (to insure no bends, or Dirty Orifices). Does anyone know the Size of the Stock Pushrods? I searched every where and can only find guides on how I should measure them... If I was to take the motor Apart first I wouldn't be asking this Question.

I checked Summit. Most Sizes are Universal, but what if I buy an 8 inch and need a 7. I dont think my Car would work.

^ i dont think your car would work either.

and i dont think its an 8" pushrod. the top two stock replacement pushrods that advance autoparts sells are within .024" of each other (7.192" vs 7.216"

if your really concerned about the pushrod length (which you probably should be if the heads your putting on arent stock), get one of these:

its 12 bucks ad its probably worth it.
