push-rod question??

Posted By: blacknight On: 11-12-2008 @ 09:20:09         Reply | Edit
I have a 78 firebird with a stock 305

2 questions for you guys.

1. are the stock push-rods equal in length(exhaust and intake)?
are they 5/16 or 3/8??

2. If I buy hardened push-rods, do I need guide plates since they are built in the cast iron head???

thank for your help

bob

most pontiac motors have guide plates, unsure of a 305.
