what is a good reading for a compression check on a engine??
what is a good, ok, and bad reading??
I have a 78 firebird with a 305 chevy

I'd say 155-165psi should be what it reads unless it has a performance cam. -- 1982 Z28, 383, D-1SC intercooled @ 15psi, trick flow heads, solid roller cam, 3.73's, th400,
4500 stall, trans. brake, fuel injection, 9.94@137, 1.52 60' with 3700lbs. AIM:CHATV400
