alternator problem

well instead of bein smart about it, i bought a chrome alternator for my 79 camaro, the plug is completely different on it, can anyone tell me where i can pick up a square style plug? my car has this thin rectangular plug

Take and check the electrical sections of your local parts houses. Advacne, Zone, Napa, and just compare the plugs to the new alternator.
