overhauling a 69

i am currently in the prosess of restoring a 69 firebird with a 350 automatic it had a vynal roof and has now rotted around both the front and rear windshields how should i go about fixing this problem?

if anyone has had a similar dilemma and knows a simple and cheap way of fixing this it will be very helpful

Bummer! I'm not a body man, but a buddy of mine is a great body man. I had this problem with my 75' bird. To fix it right, you got to remove the glass. The rot is under the glass also. Just repairing the places you see is not going to last. Water will enter under the glass, and rot your floor pan. We used fiberglass to repair the rot. Avoid using cheap bondo, as it retains water, and will start the rot again. Check it out with a local body man.
