subframe connectors

im looking for information on which subframe connectors are best for a 79 ta. 455 olds motor 400 trans. im looking forward to puting together an introduction post but i dont have anything arranged at this time for pics and things .. but i will soon.

Hi fbodyguy , I prefer bolt on , Ive never been a big fan of welding things to an original frame . Competition Engineering makes a nice set , about a 120 bucks from Summit . Dave

95 Z28 purchased new . c.a.i. trick flow elbow ,58mm t-body and ported manifold . hypertech power program , crane springs and crane gold 1.6 rollers . 3 inch exhaust no cat , bbk headers and MSD wires and Iridium plugs . Also an Edelbrock 3 point strut tower brace .

id rather weld, after alot of body flex, the bolt on's tend to round out the bolt holes

bingo, bolt on=waste of time.

I went with global west's sfcs, and love them. Easy install, just slipped on and welded up. Ground clearance is great, as they are tubular and come right off the back of the front sub and snake right up to the rear rails.

I welded and bolted my subframe connectors in...Car is awesome now.
