how to get car level?? Posted By: 350bowtie On: 12-31-2007 @ 08:04:57 Reply | Edit Me and my dad are going to replace full floor pans in my 69 Camaro how should we go about making sure the car is level before welding it all up??? It also seems that theres two layers of metal by the front toe board and rear of the pan (its a full floor pan) should we just cut through both of these? or just try to cut through the first layer of metal and weld to the existing floor pan?? -Matt -- 355ci @ 10:1 compression, 750 DP Holley w/ Holley 8psi fuel pump, Weiand Team G single plane, stock GM iron heads ported and polished 2.05/1.60 valves, 1.6 RR's, Comp Cams .492 lift @ 236 duration @ .050, 1 3/4 headers to 2.5 inch duals dumped, 3.73 gears, 275 Nittos Best E/T: 13.18@105.6 with a 2.20 60ft more times to come soon.... Posted By: 77chicken On: 04-07-2007 @ 01:48:53 Reply | Top | Edit not totally sure but with the car on the ground i would x measure and brace the area inside before i cut anything out and measure up twice make sure the x measurements are equal weld braces and then cut out floor pans and reinstall>>> but i am no expert on that
