Can the back board where the rear speakers are be removed, and how, cause i couldnt figure it out on my 1979 pontiac trans am.

You lossen and/or take out the backrest of the seat, take off the speaker covers,(if you have them), and it should just lift right out. If it is still a factory piece, it might have alittle glue on it.

if you mean the cardboard piece..yes.
if you mean the metal under it that the speakers actually mount to....no
