What rear end am I working with?

My 78 Camaro needs tougher gears. I crossed referenced the coding on the axle housing and Ive figured out that my gear ratio is 2.41. I want to replace them, but I cant find out what spline count I have. Ive been told 28 spline, but Jegs only carries 30 spline for the 8.5 10 bold corporate box. Any clues for me?
