Shifter cable to tranny help

Posted By: cwnz28 On: 01-03-2008 @ 13:02:05         Reply | Edit
Hey guys, i've got everything done with my car except figuring out how to run the shifter cable to my tranny. Here's the problem.....well, i swapped out a th400 with a th350....and the part where the shifter cable runs to on the tranny is quite a bit different. Is there any place that sells any parts to swap out with this? On my th400, there was just a little hook or bracket (with a hole) that you run the cable through...and on the th350, that part has two "hoops" you go through. So when it's connected, i can shift out of park, but not back in to park b/c that steel piece on the shifter cable doesnt bend or flex at all.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Is it possible to just swap out a new shifter cable bracket with a new one? Something like this? Is there any precautions i have to take when i take that bolt (that's connecting that bracket) out of the tranny?
