Help with motor/tranny install

I was just wondering (so i know before i start putting in my motor/ (new) tranny) if my tranny mount will be the same and it'll line up with my new transmission?? I had a th-400 in there and i recently picked up a th-350 from a buddy of mine. The lengths appear to be pretty similar to eachother and i didn't know if i could get by with using my same driveshaft.
Could i just take my old tranny lines off of my th-400 and put them on my th-350? They're not in the exact same spot, but i can bend them a little bit.
Is there anything else i need to be aware of when i'm doing this tranny swap?...or is it pretty much straight-forward?
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time!

Well, i got my motor and tranny installed and in place now. I just gotta put in my driveshaft and get everything lined up. I had a few problems with the install...my torque converter (that i got for free w/ my tranny) i guess is called a Vega Convertor (which i guess they used to use it in place of a stall convertor back in the day). It didn't line up in order to bolt on to my flywheel. It was too small. I had to use my th-400 convertor instead (on my th-350). It did click 2 times when i put it on my tranny, so I figured everything should be ok. Besides that problem, the only other thing i did was flip my tranny mount so it would bolt right up to the th-350, rather than the th-400. The bolt patter was a little different from the tranny's. -- 1967 Camaro (Z-28 Clone): 327 Bored .03 over, TH-400, Double Hump Heads, Holley 600cfm Double Pumper, Scorpion Intake, Accel 8mm wires, 78K miles...restoration is underway.

Well for 1 thing your torque converter should click twice. By trying to install the new engine with it only clicked in twice your transmission might have sustained pump damage by forcing the converter on more. On the vega converter topic, that just use to be a cheep way to bump up the stall in your car. It is not necessarily the most effecient way.
