body bushings and sway bar bushings????? help

i have a 78 firebird, 2 questions
1. has anyone changed body bushing before??? is ia a bitch of a job or is it kinda easy?
2. i have a rancho sway bar in the rear, 1 inch. i know that i can get the stabalizer bar bushings from summit racing, but how do i get the bushings for the drop links(or end links??) can i get them if i order a kit for the rear???
i basically cant find those bushings, so any help would be awsome, thanks alot!!!

ummm have you heard about project g28 by popular hot rodding... they did a body bushing job on a 76 camaro and said it was a bitch "Some of the body bushings are captured inside closed frame rails. This requires the rails to be cut open to gain access to the hardware inside (note the channel which has been cut, then bent back into place). If you cut open the rails, plan on welding them back up when you're done."

That caption is not actually correct. The bushing itself is NOT in the enclosed rail,the nut that the bolt screws into is. Its not really that bad of a job,as long as all the bolts turn out. If the nut breaks loose it can be a major pain in the ass.
If I am correct,the picture that goes with that caption is the body mount at the firewall. On my 70 the front of that pocket is open where you can get into the nut to spray it with penetrating oil. --

thanks about the body bushing info, anyone have any info about the rear sway bar set up???

Call Summit Racing Equipment and tell them what you need. They should be able to set you right up.
