My brother has a 75 Camaro and his brake lights won't come on when the pedal is pressed.
I put a meter on the socket and he is getting power to it. Worked my way all the way back to the fuse box and he is getting a strong 12V thru the entire system.
New bulbs, brake switch, fuse, and the parking lights and turn signals work. This is really throwing me off course!!
Could the socket be bad for brake lights but still be able to operate the parking lights and turn signals??
HELP!
Thanks guys.

check the plug on the top of the brake pedal arm -- You can make any car fast with money but you cant make any car look or sound like it will tear your heart out, eat it and then bang your significant other.

UPDATE:
There are some wires running up the steering column that were cut. Spliced the wires back together and the brake lights are now working along with the hazards and rear turn signals.
I can't get the front and side turn signals to work though. -- 1989 Camaro RS
