80 Turbo Formula info Posted By: 94formulaparts On: 01-02-2008 @ 20:20:09 Reply | Edit I ran across a 80 Turbo Formula for sale that I was wondering if any one could give me any info on. Did these run very good. Does anyone know what the boost was on the 301? Are there any "hidden" tricks that can be done to boost them other than engine rebuild or gears? It was the top engine and could only get the TA into the 16s in the quarter mile. I doubt that there are many parts to help make this engine more powerful. This engine was originally supposed to be used in the 82 TA (the car has the turbo hood) but it was dropped for the Chevy 305. If all you want is a nice cruising car then theres no problem, just don't race any Hondas or you might get embarrased. Of course you can always do an engine swap.
