Heater hose to head SAGA

Since I cannot find a 90 degree (elbow) plug I am going to see if I can work around with the readily available straight plug.

Does anyone know if it matters which cylinder head the plug is placed in (passenger or driver)? The plug was on the diver's side but with out the elbow and add in the tilt of the distrib and the hose cannot fit to a straight fitting. There is plenty of room on the passender side for clearance. I am hoping I can situate the plug on this side?

Uppp I forgot. The engince is a 301W non turbo.

The plug should have been in the passenger side head. I've never seen one in the other side.
