I used a putty knife on my 70 Formula. Peeled it right off, down to the factory primer. Worked really well on the undercoating also. --

I've already tried that, it is very hard. Will aircraft stripper work? -- All original 1976 Trans Am, 455, 4 speed. For Sale, 1980 Turbo Trans Am $3,000 OBO

Probably, but I can't say for sure. When I did mine I used a narrow(about 1 1/2 inches wide)thick bladed putty knife with a good sharp edge, not razor sharp, more like a dull knife blade. Once I got it started the seam sealer and undercoating peeled right off. A thin, flimsy or wide blade putty knife won't work well at all.
You might also try heating it a little with a propane torch, not enough to burn it,just enough to make it soft. --
